Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what Cartgeni collects and how we use it. We collect as little as possible.
What we collect
- Account email — to issue a license key on first activation.
- Site URL — the WP install the plugin is on.
- Usage stats — chat-request count per license per month, for billing + abuse prevention.
- Indexing data — content excerpts sent to our embedding model at index time. Original text isn't retained after embedding.
- Chat messages — sent to our proxy + the AI provider to generate replies. Not retained on our servers; lives only in your WordPress database.
What we don't collect
- We don't sell or share data with advertisers.
- We don't track visitors to your site beyond the chats they initiate.
- Visitor IPs are kept only as short-lived rate-limit counters (auto-deleted within an hour).
Where data is stored
Our backend runs on Cloudflare Workers + Cloudflare D1 (edge worldwide). Chat content stays in your own WordPress MySQL database.
AI processing
Chat content is processed by reputable third-party AI providers solely to generate replies. They do not use your data to train their models.
Payments
Processed by LemonSqueezy. We never see card details.
Your rights
Request deletion of your account anytime: hello@cartgeni.com. We respond within 30 days.
